"Warmth and humanity "

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

(as the patient),

I am currently an inpatient in the John Radcliffe Hospital. I had an MRI scan and would like to thank the technician who chatted to me today.

On finishing the scan, the technician noticed I was wearing a Dolly Parton t-shirt. As the technician wheeled me back out into the waiting area for a porter to collect me, we had the most superb conversation about country music.

Sadly I didn't catch her name, but the Irish lady in the blue scrubs. Thank you! You enthusiasm was infectious and after a difficult day on the ward, your kindness and simple conversation helped me to feel like a person rather than a patient.

Thank you so much for this lovely comment. As a Trust we aim to treat our patients with care and compassion, as people, not just patients, so, it's great to hear that this was your experience. Hopefully, you'll continue to make the best of your stay at the hospital, and we hope you'll make a full recovery. Your comments will be passed on.
