My Daughter a very special little girl who has Learning difficulties unfortunately broke her elbow and arm while on holiday in Ireland. A small operation was required to remove the K wires from her elbow when we returned from Ireland . I would like to give some positive feedback about all the doctors Nurses and administration staff who attended to my little girl at the Frank Radcliffe fracture clinic at KGH. We both found each step of the treatment plan both very accommodating and excellent and it appeared that my daughters special needs were also taken into account. All of the doctors and nurses but my daughter fears at ease as she was very nervous about having another operation as it brought back the initial fears she had to face after her accident in Ireland and needed emergency surgery. the play nurses explained what would happen step by step and when there were tears and nerves the nursing staff and doctors found an excellent way of distracting her she was singing one of her favourite songs just before she was had her operation. The children's ward skylarks was excellent and very child and parent friendly and all of my daughters needs were delivered with excellent, and I know my daughter has been telling all her friends and teachers at her special needs school in Kettering all about her experiences at KGH which may also help relieve any other child's fears who may be waiting for and operation also at KGH. I would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to all the wonderful staff who work hard to ensure patients receives the best services possible. Special thanks to the member of staff who works on reception asked my daughter to sing her little song which made her day. Thank you
