This is my second positive review this year. On Aug.7th, I had a colonoscopy inspection, as I've had every few years since I had bowel cancer surgery in 2000. I was very impressed with the new facility, which wasn't there in 2009, and once again was splendidly looked after throughout what is inevitably a somewhat uncomfortable experience. I was delighted to meet the same member of staff once again, now an endoscopist, whom I remember from the Stomacare Unit all those years ago. I was treated throughout with humanity and respect and could only be impressed with the thoroughness with which the whole procedure was carried out, and by the care of the nurses in the recovery room. It's only fair to include haematology in my review as I have seen the doctor or one of the team for the past decade or more. I am always heartened when I've seen him and it's great to feel that he is on the watch for me and eliminating fear. This year I had a very informative appointment with the registrar, in which once again respect for the patient was so much appreciated.
