I waited 2 years to see a cardiologist, who put me on a battery of pills, saying to come back in 6 weeks. In the event I could not get an appointment fot 14 months.
The appointment was only for 10 minutes, no time to discuss the drugs or ask the correct questions.
I would recommend any one seeking treatment from this short staffed department, and offered a delay of more than 6 weeks..that they take the train to Calais or lille and pay to see a French or Belgian consultant..where there are no delays. It costs about E100, but should of course be a standard alternative offered by the NHS.
"Would going to France be better?"
