"Nothing"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing

What could be improved

I attended with an extremely painful ankle, making standing difficult, although the receptionists preferred to chat with each other whilst booking me in, in spite of my obvious discomfort. I was then treated with little respect by the triage nurse, to the extent that she ridiculed me for putting a bandage on what I believe to be a sprain (although this site advises just that as part of sprain treatment) Proceeded to press on the bones in my foot, stated that nothing was broken and it obviously didn't hurt, (although this wouldn't deal with torn ligaments in the ankle, which I believe to be the cause of the pain) then stated that I could wait for three hours if I wish, whilst giving me the impression that I was wasting everyone's time. As a result of this I left the hospital and decided to gut it out and hope it gets better on its own. I am appalled at how badly I felt on leaving the hospital and would avoid it whenever possible in the future.
