13 weeks ago I badly smashed my ankle.....I was initially taken to Halifax Royal Infirmary but then transferred to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary the same night. This being my first visit to this hospital I was hesitant....but...that is the last thing I should have been. The staff were exemplary...although on many occasions the were short staffed they still found the time to for every patients needs, I was treat in a very friendly yet efficient manner by all the ward staff nothing was too much trouble for them, and thank them for there care....The cleanliness on the wards was excellent.....I would not hesitate should I have to return there in the future....though Id rather not of course! My Consultant surgeon and Colleague were both friendly and approachable and relayed my injury and treatment in a no nonsense way and in a way I understood, no long complicated speeches i didn't understand, this continued in my visits to Out Patients at Halifax Royal Infirmary too. I have now been discharged and am on the mend.....and tender heartfelt thanks to all concerned for their skill and care.....
"Oh What a break!"
