What I liked
My father recently died in intensive care. Leading up to this the doctors and nurses were kind, mindful, caring and loving and made us feel that we could do/ask whatever we liked. The same in A&E, they were honest, caring and we felt like we were the only ones in there and gave us so much time. It meant a great deal at the most horrific moment of my life. Thanks
ps. they sent a sympathy card and have great after care service for relatives!
What could be improved
The only thing I would pick up on it that because dad died in the night and needed a post mortam and had no belongings at the hospital the death certificate went straight from the coroner to the offices where the death certs are produced, therefore we missed out on the "blue pack" which a friend told me about a few weeks later. The pack was a "what to do next" pack - it would have been useful at the time. Maybe an unusual situation?
