I was admitted to Ash Ward from A&E following my GP recommending that I should see someone in the emergency department. I entered A&E at around 9.30am and by 1.30pm I was on Ash Ward and being prepared to go down to theatre after blood tests, and ultrasound and a CT scan earlier in the day. A hospital stay is not what anyone wants, especially as an emergency, however the staff were very efficient and helpful. My recovery was spot on and the theatre staff come highly recommended. I am pleased with my recovery now I am out of hospital and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that were it not for the staff and the NHS in general then I would not be recovering as well as I am doing. The food was very lovely- I highly recommend the soups!!- and I would not be filled with dread should I ever have to spend time in hospital again. Communication between Scarborough and York hospitals was spot on and I am very impressed with my outcome. Many thanks to the staff on Ash Ward and A&E on 18/08/14.
