Abysmal is the only way to describe the service of care I have received from the administration of this hospital. Following colon cancer, should have received my three month follow up appointment for April 2014. Began telephoning my consultants secretary on May 1st who in turn chased the appointments department, no result. Continued telephoning intermittently appointments through May into June. Resorted to the complaints department at the end of June. Received an appointment within one day for July. That appointment cancelled and rearranged for today, 19th August. Whilst driving to my 4.15 appointment received a call at 3.15 to say appointment cancelled. Should I be lucky enough to get an appointment within the next week I will have been waiting 8 months for a 3 month follow up. My great concern is without follow up tests the cancer may have returned and progressed without treatment.
