I was taken to bolton hospital by ambulance seen by the medics and put on g3 ward the nurses on that ward. I am sorry to say were very unhelpful. I am Asian and could speak a little english and can understand very well. I asked for medicine for stomach ache but was not given any. Nurses in white uniform said there was no blue nurse on the ward. When I asked which is very usual she was very rude and abrupt, with no patience at all. The night nurses were the same.
All in all, I think it was a bad experience. I will not mention their names, although they should be named and shamed, only then can someone learn from their mistakes. People entering the nursing profession should only do so if they want to care for patients, otherwise go else where!
I fell out of bed, but managed to help myself back up, but no nurse came to see me. When I mentioned it to my family, they told the night nurse, but no response. I feel there should be some kind of cctv that can detect if patient is sleeping safely if they are in a room on their own.
And one more thing, the room was not cleaned daily. When asked about it, the nurse said you had too many visitors but in reality no cleaner came all day. (had my story written by my son)
