I was referred by my gp to ward 21 with bad stomach pains and I am disgusted at the care I revived. When I arrived we were shown to my room and left for an hour and forty minutes before anyone came and told us anything. The nurses were just stood in the corridor laughing and chatting. The only time they came in was to get items without even acknowledging me. Eventually someone came to take my observations and take some blood. The nurse was cold and rude towards me. 2 hours later a doctor came to see me. He was dismissive of my symptoms and rude to my partner when he asked if he knew what the problem was. The doctor then left and returned an hour and half later saying "you can go now" and discharged me with no more tests/ results or even a glimpse of a doignoses. I was in tears. The next day the pain was horrendous so my Partner called an ambulance who took me to lincoln hospital where they diagnosed appendicitis and were so caring and kind to me. I felt very looked after. I will always go to lincoln now instead. This is not the first bad experience I've had at kings mill. Anyone reading this don't go to kings mill. They don't care, they are rude, cold. And there is a chance you probably won't even be diagnosed or treated. Very upset with the care.
