I certainly wouldn't recommend Chorley Hospital to my worse enemy. my mother has been assessed with a bleed in the eyes during March and April, no treatment has been carried out yet. The staff at Preston were surprised that she had an appointment at Chorley 40 days later. So far she has attended approx. 4 appointments of which two have been cancelled, two when she was in the waiting room. No reason is ever given why the doctors don't turn up. When questioned on 30th July the answer the nurse gave 'we are not allowed to ask'. At the same no turn up appointment, going private was mentioned! Last Friday 1st August another appointment came through the post, 10 minutes later Chorley hospital rang up saying it was cancelled. My mother's eyesight has been getting worse through all this. If the hospital leave it long enough they will only need to send a white stick and a guide dog. It is a wonder if the hospital has a management committee all for in this department there is no coverage for missing doctors at all. With no doctors nothing happens If you have a choice go somewhere else
