I visited the treatment centre today, extremely satisfied with the medical treatment recieved, also the welcoming of the staff at the gateway we went too. However, I was extremely dissatisfied with the attitude, abruptness, careless attitude of one particular receptinist. I can not believe how she treated a disabled patient, who clearly had difficulty in walking, she demanded he can not use his blue badge as it was a few days out of date, he was awaiting a replacement, although this was all explained, the receptionist carried this conversation on, with attitude, he had no money on him, I heard this conversation going on, as I was stood by the seating area close to the lifts, (extremely loud receptionist) I was disgusted, so I went over asked to speak to someone senior who also replied it's invalid, it's fraud...so I paid the ticket for him... 1. Values and behaviours? 2. Where is their care and compassion towards patients in general?, this patient was really obviously disabled, he had 2 crutches, I was disgusted how they treated a really obvious disabled person... 3. I will be taking this matter further, as the attitude of these members of staff was a disgrace to the NHS, the NHS get pulled down with people like these people, that show no compassion or care. 4. I have visted treatment centre several times, I have seen these receptionist allow people to validate their tickets without the blue badges, as they have forgotten them, which is possibly not correct, but shows they cared, genuinely people do forget.... 5.why is it 1 rule for one, another rule for another, surely when you validate a ticket, you need to see the badge? 6. It felt to me, the receptionist and her senior were being awkward, telling me it was fraud? To validate a ticket where the blue badge was out of date, but they have (as I have seen this) Validated tickets where people have not shown their blue badges? There is something not right. Disgusted is how I felt, the patient was extremely upset, with the attitude, as other visitors were all looking over, he felt like he was being mocked! Disgusting, lack of training and education.
