I was recently admitted into LCH for an induction. We arrived on Nettleham Ward and were made to feel at ease and informed of what was going to happen by knowledgable, experienced and friendly staff. Once we were in labour, we were transferred to Bardney and again, we were made to feel at ease and as comfortable as possible.
The staff were really quick to react when my little girl got into some slight difficulties and thoroughly ran through the plan of action with us.
Once our baby girl was delivered, we were debriefed by the surgeon and team. It was as though they had done it a thousand times, we were not a number, but our experience was personal. I loved the way my husband was actively involved and not pushed to the side. He was encouraged to help within reason which he appreciated.
We stayed in Nettleham for four days as there were a few problems with our little girls health, I felt reassured and we were treated with absolute care and assisted where required.
I cannot praise the staff enough in these two wards. Each one demonstrating first class care and expertise in their field. Thank you.
