"how badly my wife has being treated"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

on Saturday morning my wife was rushed in to hospital for an emergency c-section at that time the team was great did everything spot on . since my wife was put in her oen room and had countless midwifes they have treated her really bad. we had twins so it was really tiring witch midwifes did very little to help us. wen the food trolley came round bearing in mind my wife just had a major operation the day before she asked what food they had with that they replyed get out if bed and come have a look for for yourself. the midwife got 9 out of 10 thing wrong there was no comunication between any midwife my daughter did not get taged untill 3 days in and it was me that spoted it not the midwifes. my wife asked for pain relief 10 hours later she got some they have done everything you can think of wrong and my wife had being so badlt treated some of the midwifes doem.there should not be aloud to have kids and muthers lives in there hands I plan on takeing this a lot further (papers) anywhere that can make people aware of how wrongly treated my wife son and daughter have being and if any one is thinking of giveing birth at Russell hall hospital I would strongly recamend you have a re-think. Iit was suppose to be a happy time we have had the wrost

Thank you, Aaron, for taking the time to give us feedback about your wife’s post natal experience of our Maternity Unit. We are very sorry that you were so disappointed by the care your wife received during her stay. We aim to offer all mums-to-be a positive and fulfilling experience during pregnancy and birth and to make their stay with us comfortable and pleasant. We are so upset to read how far short of this aim we have fallen. Our Maternity Department is incredibly popular and last year we delivered more than 4,600 babies. We must apologise if, on this occasion, the care your wife received was not reflective of the standard of service we are usually so proud to provide. We understand that you and your wife will be meeting with our maternity matron soon to discuss your experience. She will look into your concerns and make changes to ensure we get it right next time. We would like to assure you that we take all comments seriously and use them as part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible care.
