I had the misfortune of taking my young child to the orthopaedic outpatients for an appointment. This was the third time I had attended for the same problem. On all occasions the clinic ran at least 45 mins late. Do you not prioritise children? Secondly we had to see someone different every time. Firstly the consultant, secondly a physio (I only found this out after) and thirdly a registrar (had to ask the nurse who he was). Which was a little infuriating as I had to spend the first five minutes going over everything and they then both contradicted the consultant. Thirdly the physio and registrar did not identify themselves or wear a name badge. Fourthly not a registered nurse in sight, only HCAs who don't appear to be managed or supported. The 'manager' is some chap who fits plasters and looks like he's just got out of bed. Still wearing his PJs and unshaven. Standards appear to be slipping. To sum up communication.
