Doctor thinks I am only mildly depressed. After a long wait to get referral and medication. I was on tablets that did not suit. I was referred for a meds review. I was put on new medication which I also experienced problems with. On checking with the doctor, the doctor said I did not need the meds and it was up to me if I wanted to continue or not. The doctor also wrote to my GP and said I had mild depression, so the GP is acting accordingly. A week later I had an assessment which showed I was severely depressed and I was referred back to the same department and told I must also have medication. I have asked for a copy of the letter and a call back from doctor, so far l have not heard anything. I have been trying to reach someone from Occupation Therapy I rang every day somtimes twice. The person was never there and did not return my calls promtly. I only needed to change the time of an appointment. I was told that no one else had access to this appointment system so I had to wait until I got a call back.
