What I liked
I am writnig to inform you and your chief executive about my stay in Selly Oak Hospital. I was on Ward D4 and had breast Surgery. I cannot express how well I was treated by all members of staff. The ward staff were fantastic, the consultant Mr was very reassuring and came to see by request as I hadn't been seen by a consultant since referral. He was excellent in manner and totally professional as were all the staff. I did not get to thatnk the theatre staff who looked after me as a gibbering wreck and cannot remember names but do want them to know I am really grateful for how they looked after me. I was lucky enought to have a side room until discharged andfeel this aided my recovery. Once again many many many thanks to Ward D4,the consultant, Theatre staff, outpatient staff. I work for the NHS ( Wolverhampton PCT) myself and feel staff are not given enough credit for such a demanding professional but being on the recieving end proved that you were all such a good team. Many people only write to complain but really we should all be writing to give credit. Thank you all once again

What could be improved
Make all surgical wards to have all side rooms. The peace and quiet and that I was able to turn off the big lights I feel aided my recovery. It felt like I had paid private not being in the hussle and bustle of a ward. Really the more side rooms you have enavle people to have privacy peace and quiet which all aide recovery
Anything else?
Thanks once again
