Praise for CAMHS

I thought it important to share some positive thoughts about the CAMHS and CAMHS Intensive Treatment Team. After my daughter became ill she was referred to the CAMHS team. Since the service began 3 months ago I feel we are in capable hands. From the start things moved quickly providing my daughter with support. They covered the many aspects of her care needed at the most difficult time in her life, and mine. This ranged from a diagnosis of depression to medication, a treatment plan, daily support and advice from the CAMHS Intensive Treatment Team and psychotherapy appointments.

The individuals that make up these teams are special people who I have found to be knowledgable, caring and understanding. It mustn't be an easy job to help these kids and young people at a very difficult time in their lives.

I know that we are only at the beginning of our journey in getting my daughter well again and I'm so grateful that I have CAMHS and CITT to help us through it.
