I was admitted to seau briefly before being transferred to branston ward. The doctors and nursing staff on seau were excellent, very caring and always around to care.
However this changed dramatically when I was transferred to branston ward. Two days in a row I was left nil by mouth until tea time on the promise of a ct scan that never happened, and I'm diabetic. The obs weren't done regularly despite having low blood pressure and oxygen stats.
My main complaint was that a doctor decided to withdraw my pain relief at about 5pm stating that it was causing constipation - I was still in a lot of pain. That night I could not sleep due to pain, I was rolling around the bed and crying in pain, I pressed the nurse call button - it was about 3: 30am and the nurse simply said 'your not allowed any painkillers until 6am'.
I was moaning in pain and crying but she turned her back and walked away. I wouldn't have left my dog in the state I was left in.
