"Visited A&E in terrible pain ..."

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Visited A&E in terrible pain 5 times over several months. They told me the only explanation for my symptoms was partner was sleeping around and giving me sexually transmitted infections. Went to Royal Free who immediately diagnosed an infection in a kidney stone - they phoned the lab at HH Hospital who confirmed this was e-coli. I was in acute renal failure, temp 108 and nearly died.

This hospital also diagnosed me with IBS 9 years ago and I only found out last week that there tests showed I had a milk allergy.

I had to have an operation there in January - a medical procedure was performed, which the doctor said should have been done under general anaethetic, but they wanted my bed, so didn't bother - the pain they inflicted was greater than I imagined was possible for any person to experience.
