In mid March, thirteen weeks ago, my GP Lambgates Primary Care Centre sent a referral letter to the Gastroenterology Department at Tameside Hospital requesting a specialist examination for me. This was following results from a comprehensive series of examinations promptly completed at the practice after I first presented there in mid February.
Despite an interim reminder to Tameside from one of the Partner GPs at Lambgates, there has to date been no reply from anyone at Tameside Hospital about an appointment for me after thirteen weeks.
The Tameside website http: //www. tamesidehospital. nhs. uk/ states that 'Everybody Matters'. Clearly I and the GPs at Lambgates do not seem to matter to Tameside.
If in fact there is no prospect of my receiving the specialist examination for which my GPs have referred me to Tameside, at the very least Tameside might tell us so, so another hospital can be contacted.
