We were on holiday with my husbands parent's & our 4 year old son in Carbis Bay, I had been uncomfortable the whole holiday & had already spent a night in the Royal Cornwall Hospital with what was thought to be an overactive uterus. We were on our last day of the holiday when I woke early hours in a lot of pain, by 6.30am I was being rushed by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital & having strong contractions, not only was this painfull, it was very daunting as I had booked for an elective cesarean as my previous pregnancy had been breech so I'd already had a cesarean. Once we got to the hospital the midwives & staff looked after us very well & reassured us that everything would be ok, after a while the surgeon came and agreed my cesarean, within an hour my baby boy was born & I was stitched up & doing well. As we were on holiday we were given a family room so that my husband could stay with us until we were discharged. Overall the staff were absolutely amazing & made a very scarey experience, very special & memorable. Thank you very much to all who supported us.
