Visited princess Alexandra yesterday for my routine pregnancy scan only to find our baby had died. The sonographer was brilliant, very sensitive to our emotions and by our choice spoke through the options and referred me for treatment which was to start the next day. Fast forward today and I was met by a lovely doctor and nurse who talked me through the procedures and made sure I was entirely happy with the decision. I felt so well looked after and feel that if I have any questions then it would not be a bother for me to ask them. Couldn't ask for better treatment at such a sad time. It's a shame EGU is so close to maternity but assume it's a "women's only" ward so can understand, didn't dampen the pain seeing a family leave with their newborn baby but life does go on. Thank you again.
"Fantastic care at a sad time"
