My 86 yr old mum has just had a revision hip operation in ward I6 and we would like to say a big thank you to all the nurses and doctors, occupational and physiotherapists and all the other supporting staff such as the cleaners and caterers. My mum was naturally very apprehensive but on arrival she was immediately met by a nurse who introduced herself and explained she would be looking after her in the day and my mum was immediately more relaxed. All the doctors who came before and after the operation were equally reasurring and explained everything clearly. After the operation the care and attention from everyone continued to be excellent, very professional and at the same time always given in a kind and friendly manner. For us as a family it was also a worrying time but the hard work and dedication of everyone involved helped us to cope much better. On her discharge the attention to detail to make it a smooth, safe and informative move was first class and as a result my mum is recovering very well. We cannot thank everyone concerned enough for all they have done.
"Thank you to ward I6 nurses and doctors and..."
