After being referred to by my doctor at Tamworth for an appointment with the Ent specialist at Sir Robert Peel, it was decided after his visit because of the problem I was having with my tonsil it would be in my best interest to have a tonsillectomy to have it removed Although it took quite a considerable time it involved two visits to the Burton Hospital one for a pre-operative assessment in the main hospital and then a further visit to actually have the operation in the treatment centre Although I was not looking forward to having the operation at my age at 73 I was quite pleasantly surprised with the courtesy and efficiency of all the staff and nurses at the hospital, On my second visit to the treatment Centre to have the operation which I had to stop in overnight the surgeon nurses and staff were very kind and and I can only say it was nothing short of a five star treatment, the building was very clean and tidy and also the food was more than adequate for my short stay I would be very pleased on my behalf if you could pass on to all concerned my sincere thanks Peter Sedgbeer
