I have had reason to be referred to the Physiotherapy Department at Fairfield Hospital twice in the last 6 months. On both occasions the care and treatment I received were excellent. On my first referral I was seen by a member of staff who treated me for a Frozen Shoulder which involved a slightly painful injection which was administered with care and consideration. I visited Physiotherapy twice during the course of treatment seeing the same member of staff on both occasions, the care I received was excellent, everything was explained to me in detail, what had caused the problem, the treatment being carried out and how to prevent it reoccurring. The professional attitude and treatment were everything one could wish for. My second visit was to improve a problem I have with my lower back. I have been having treatment for over six years for this problem which also gives me pain in my left hip when I walk. It made life pretty miserable at times. I was refered to physiotherapy and really did not feel that this would help at all. I saw a man on numerous occasions, he was professional in every way, easy to talk to explaining the reasons for the pain and how best to reduce it. Following his advice and the exercise regime he has subscribed has helped me tremendously. I now have less pain and enjoy life more. Thank You. Everyone within this Department seemed helpful, professional, and patient orientated. The Physiotherapy Department is a credit to Fairfield Hospital.
