My daughter had surgery yesterday and everybody we met were absolutely lovely. As soon as we approached the window we were greeted by a lovely smiley lady who told us where to sit. Once on SAL the 2 nurses who check listed my daughter and took her bloods and observations etc were friendly and professional they told us straight away where she was on the list. Next we saw the reg he was marvellous, he explained everything as did the anaesthetist and the anaesthetic nurse. I can't thank them all enough, she was in theatre a long time and I was absolutely frantic but thanks to the absolutely amazing professor and his team she should now make a full recovery. The staff on h5 are presentable, professional and compassionate. There was a lovely student nurse who provided me with refreshments while I waited for my daughter to come back from theatre and one of the nurses gave me a hug because I was upset when she'd been in theatre so long. They were all lovely, a credit to the NHS and the nursing profession. The room was like a hotel room; en suite walk in shower, spotlessly clean. Both her admission and discharge to the ward were smooth, there were no delays, everything was done in a timely manner, we were really, really impressed! Well done Salford Royal!?
