"A&E Sunday 27th April"

About: Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital

Hello - we brought our 13 year old daughter Ella in to A&E at the Royal Alex on Sunday at 1pm for a precautionary X-ray and examination of a school PE injury sustained on Friday 25th. She was seen by a doctor within 15 minutes of arrival, had an immediate X-ray, and after about 20 minutes, was seen again by a different doctor. She had no fracture, but painful ligament damage, and was given a taped finger splint. The entire procedure took about one hour. All the staff were extremely kind and friendly. Many thanks to all. The NHS gets a great deal of flak and criticism, but we wanted to send this positive review of our experience.
