I bought my 7 year old son to minor injuries at Deal Hospital on 23/04/2014. I feel the care we received was high quality and efficient. There is much talk of the 6 C's in Nursing and I feel that in Deal Minor Injuries all staff embrace these values. The environment was clean, welcoming and all staff approachable and friendly. My son was asked about his injury in a sensitive manner by the nurse and also the reasons these were asked in relation to safeguarding children discussed sensitively with me.My son had an xray and an apology was given for the wait, which was only 15 minutes at the most. We were referred to QEQM Hospital for an MRI scan and I feel this was coordinated efficiently and as quickly as possible. A full report and findings which had been discussed with myself and my son was also given for us to take to QEQM ensuring reduced waiting time on arrival. I telephoned Deal Minor injuries the following day as had concerns as had no follow up advice from QEQM hospital. I spoke to the Sister who treated me with respect and a full concise explanation was given as well as where to access appropriate follow up care. I feel Deal Minor Injuries Hospital is the Gold Standard for patient experience.
"High quality compassionate professional care."
