I arrived at the Admissions lounge at 7am with many other patients there already. I Was told I was third on the list by the charge nurse. He was very caring and reassuring to me the stressy patient .I was quickly being processed and changed into a gown and Stockings, was given an enormous box to put my gear in,then returned to the Male lounge. Throughout the morning different people called me for more processing and at 1 pm I was being taken down to theatre by the theatre porter ,to be met by the nurse looking after me , great character. The consultant came to see me as did the anaesthetist . Before i knew it i was rolled into theatre to wake up in the recovery suite, No Pain. Again the recovery nurses were great even though very busy. I finally ended up on ward nine to be looked after and discharged by more busy but caring nurses. My Whole experience of my time in Castle Hill was that of an air of caring and total professionalism. thanks.
