I have recently spend 3 nights in Northampton General Hospital, Spencer Ward following a Mastectomy. I have nothing but praise for the dedication of the Nursing Staff who are over-stretched with a very busy Ward. Despite understaffing, they remain cheerful and caring - giving attention where it is needed and in many cases staying past their allotted shift to help out their colleagues on the new shift.
The conditions under which they work are stressful and I was appalled to learn that there is barely time for them to 'grab' drinks during their shift let alone have a meal, however light.
My heartfelt thanks go to The Team who made my stay in hospital as comfortable and hassle-free as is possible under the circumstances
"Great breast care in Northampton - sympathy for the staff"
