"Dressing change"

About: Samuel Johnson Community Hospital

I recently had surgery at Leicester Royal Infirmary and have quite a large wound which has started to come off and is very damp. I have some iniodine but not a suitable dressing so I went to the Samuel Johnson for some help this morning. I did not even get chance to explain what my problem was - the Doctor asked if I had an appointment and when I said I didn't he told me to ring 111 which I did at 11.06. They rang me back and said I would be contacted with an appointment time - it is now 4.55 and I am still waiting. This surgery was on an artery. The last surgery I had nearly three years ago developed into a abscess so I know that I am probably worrying for nothing.
