Whilst only a minor procedure to yourselves, my hernia operation today was the first time I had been anaesthetised since an operation around 1956 for emergency appendix removal in the old Tamworth General. Consequently I could only imagine what was in store today. What a stress-free and surprisingly pleasurable experience it turned out to be. From start to finish treated like royalty by all staff concerned. Attentive, happy, eager to present themselves in a most caring way. Nothing too much trouble from the most junior nurse to the theatre staff. Special thanks to the surgeon and his theatre colleagues. Especially appreciated was the stress-free logistics of getting there. Many thanks, Bryan John Wilson
