"Investigations for blanking out episodes"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology Lincoln County Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I suffered two blanking out episodes and was referred by my GP to the Medical Assessment Unit at Lincoln County.

I was seen by a doctor at the MAU within a few days. His examination was very detailed both physically and verbally. He listened carefully to what both my wife and I had to say. He then arranged for a whole range of checks to be carried out. I have subsequently had ultrasound tests on my prostate and liver, MRI head scan and ultrasound heart check plus 24 hour ECG.

These have now all been completed in well under two months and I am now awaiting the full results. All appointments were carried out either on time or in several instances earlier than arranged.

I am 77 years of age and cannot praise enough the courtesy and efficiency reflected in the standard of treatment I have received at the hands of Lincoln County Hospital staff.

It was lovely to read about your experience; positive feedback is as important as negative as we can build upon what is working well and share the good practice.

I am really pleased you had such good care and I have forwarded your comments to the staff. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay.
