"C3 and ears eyes nose and throat / neurology"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Not happy with any of the experiences I've had at QMC. I was taken to hosp a few weeks ago with suspected meningitis after then being seen by a neurologist who suspected low CSF I saw her once that was on ward c3 all members of staff had a disgusting attitude towards everyone that asked for any help at any time. I asked twice for pain relief after waiting over an hour I was in pain and extremely annoyed after listening to all staff talking about there personal life I lost my temper and asked for pain relief sterner , I was then chucked my painkillers and told " there " having to bite my tongue I was then moved without being told until the porter came to move me , the next ward was not much better but I don't expect anything more then that from qmc ! I was then in for a week without being seen by a doc or the neurologist again , to then spent a week at home in absolute pain , I went back to my gp who wanted to refer me back to neurology , I refused after not having any communication and now have to pay to have private treatment , I have nothing possitive to say about qmc after having a lot worse experiences to compare from !!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Queen's Medical Centre. We are sorry to hear that you felt let down and poorly-treated by the ward staff during your stay. The sort of behaviour you describe is not in keeping with the values and standards that we expect all our colleagues to adhere to. We would like to look further into what happened, however we have had some difficulty identifying from the information you have given which ward you were treated on, as we do not have a ward "C3" here at QMC. We would greatly appreciate your help in further investigating the concerns you have raised so if you would like to get in touch with us to talk further about your experience, please could you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 083 0204 or by email to PALS@nuh.nhs.uk.
