What I liked
My views are from the perspective of a regular visitor to my sick father in law. The staff, including Doctors, nurses and support personnel were generally helpful and supportive, albeit some were better than others. With one exception, the ward area was generally clean and appeared comfortable for both patients and visitors.
What could be improved
Being situated in a City centre position, access by private car is difficult and parking is a nightmare. There needs to be a dedicated area for smokers as most visitors are assailed with the sight and smells of dozens of persons, both patients and visitors crowding around the main entrance to the hospital.
Anything else?
The age old chestnut, a need for more staff as there were times when they appeared severely stretched which inevitably impacts on patients and causes anxiety for visitors.
