Our family were delighted to be informed that Patient A had arrived at The Medium Secure Hospital (in another county) and speaking to him yesterday he is settling in well.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to you for your support in initiating and for arranging Patient A’s transfer from Rampton, knowing the many hurdles that had to be cleared in gaining the final approval. While he clearly did not need the high security of Rampton, once moved from the reception wards, his quality of life and care was the best he'd had over the many years he has spent sadly institutionalised; notably the recent years spent in Ward B.
Sadly his move has removed him further from family, but we fully acknowledge moving to The Medium Secure Hospital is in Patient A’s best interest and I look forward to visiting him once he has settled in.
Please extend our thanks to all staff involved with Patient A at Rampton Hospital.
