"No care for seriously bad childhood abuse victim, now adult"

(as a service user),

I have had experience with the mental health services all my life, through no fault of my own. My parents where serious child abusers in every way you can imagine. At the age of 3, I was diagnosed with cystitis and bleeding in the ladies area. And also diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder in 1967, by a professional involved in the abuse. I was hospitalised at 11, and sent back to abusive parents, with no protection from social services.

As time went on, my mental health deteriorated. I did manage to get married and raise to smart children, who my so-called social worker said, make a contribution to society. I was greatly stigmatised once, after cutting my wrist. I was told I had not cut it deep enough.

My case has been so horrific. It took a police detective to get me a social worker, because the abusers were under investigation. I feel you sit in your fancy offices, and all you seem to do is give out drugs. Wake up! We are victims. Executives of NHS trusts should walk in our shoes for just one day.
