"Our son was beautifully cared for"

About: Colchester General Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son recently had his tonsils out on the Children's inpatient unit at Colchester General Hospital. He received wonderful care at every stage of his journey. Every member of staff we came into contact with was kind, caring and very professional.

The pre admission assessment (with Sister Trott) really put him at his ease and included a tour of the ward.

On the day of surgery the ward was busy but the atmosphere was very calm. The ward was spotless. Our son was beautifully cared for and we were also looked after.

Thank you especially to Mr Macrae, Dr Timmins, Nurses Maria, Abi, Nicole and Chloe, Theatre porter Litza and all the rest of the team behind the scenes who we haven't named. We can't thank you enough.
