I have never needed to speak with anyone before and I felt a little scared at coming to see someone I have never met before. The care I got was amazing and very supportive.
I lost my dad suddenly before Christmas and I have found it hard to cope. I spoke with a teacher at school and they said I needed to speak with the school nurse and this is when I met Bev. I have seen Bev on a number of visits and some of these have been at home. She has always spoke with me in a calm and reassuring way. I am finding it hard has my Mum wants to move and I don't. However Bev has explained to me how to see things from my Mum's views and this is helping. I know I have to think about others in the family as well as myself.
Today I saw Bev and she asked how I was doing and if things were getting any better. I have told her I am getting more and more upset. She has suggested to me that may be some for counselling could come and have a chat with me and help. But she has said this will not stop me having time with her which is what I want to keep on doing. I have said to Bev that she can get me some more help but I still need to have contact with her which she has agreed to do. She will come and see me again in couple of weeks. I have never had anyone to talk to who is so caring and always there to listen. She will just let me talk as much as I want and never ever talks over me. She is so lovely and kind. I really like my school nurse. A great big thank to her.
"a very supportive nurse"
