I was in terrible pain with my knees. I managed to get referred to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy although I am a Lothian patient. I was referred from Lothian in May 2025 and had my first full knee replacement. I had my second full knee replacement on my other knee in October 2025.
The service and level of care I received from Mr Shanoy and his surgical team, as well as the care from the hospital ward team on both occasions was absolutely excellent.
The hospital environment was lovely and new. The level of hygiene was excellent and the food on offer was of a good standard. I cannot fault any aspect of my care. I even had my own private room for my second knee operation.
Thankyou very much to Mr Shanoy and all the medical staff and support staff at the hospital for my care. A real credit to the NHS, well done.
