I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service paramedic Kevin and ambulance crew, John and Lloyd, who attended my son on New Year’s Eve.
They arrived during what was an incredibly frightening and uncertain time for us, as my husband had found my son unconscious and we had absolutely no idea what had happened to him. From the moment they arrived, they showed exceptional professionalism, kindness and reassurance. They took control of the situation calmly and confidently, while also treating us with compassion and understanding.
Their presence alone was comforting, but their clear communication, skill and care for my son made an immeasurable difference to us. They helped us feel that he was in safe hands at a time when we were overwhelmed and afraid.
We will always be deeply grateful for the care they provided and for the reassurance they gave us at such a distressing time. They are a credit to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and I hope they know how much their actions meant to our family.
