"Made me feel cared for and comfortable"

I accepted a cancellation to get my hip replacement surgery recently and today sitting at home with recovery now on my horizon..

Where I appreciate many folk cope with similar ailments and know only too well that journey of pain through the deterioration of the hip but the past 2 years in particular have been incredibly hard for me managing the pain, and the effects of the pain meds being the main focus to my everyday.  

I truly am in awe of those that live with pain everyday - it can be all consuming and affects soo much of our daily lives. 

However, sitting here today I wanted to take the time to thank all those involved during my time in hospital.  From the kind + thoughtful porters that take you to all the different dept for x-rays/scans etc to the surgical and nursing staff within ward 7 that made me feel cared for and comfortable - all that made such a difference for me and now eternally grateful to get back to living again.
