Had been having pains for a year which had resulted in various a and e visits and also visits to the GP.
Referrals had been put in at least 3/4 times and was nowhere forward.
Went to GP last week and was put on a strong painkiller to help my pain. She tried to contact Ninewells Gynae Assessment on various occasions on the phone and by bleeping the consultant to no avail.
One day last week I was promised a call back to be seen, and it did not come and the pain persisted.
The following day, we finally got hold of someone and I was told to make my way to Ninewells.
I waited for 5.5 hours with no offer of food and drink (I am diabetic) and was finally seen.
Once the process was started, I was listened to and a plan was made for further in the future, but no plan how to deal with each month was made.
I fully understand the service is stretched but I am struggling to live my life with the pain I am in.

Environment 5/10
Comfort - 0/10 no food or water offered, and it was miles away from the concourse and I struggle with my mobility.
The service has to do better.
