"My husband's treatment"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as a relative),

My husband after consulting our GP at Kittoch Practice. The GP due to his symptoms he recommended that he should go to the Surgeon dept. GP notified them in advance.

My husband's English is limited, but the whole team at the Surgeon department at Hairmyers A&E understood his embarrassment and did everything so he understood what they intended to do and his instructions when at home.

I would like to thank all the team for their assistance and understanding.

Dear Amoremio

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion.

I am very sorry to hear that your husband became unwell and required to attend University Hospital Hairmyres. This must have been a worrying time for both of you.

I am pleased to hear that our staff took the time to support your husband, ensuring he understood his treatment plan and the arrangements for his discharge. Clear communication and compassionate care are extremely important to us, and it is reassuring to know that the team provided both professionalism and empathy during his visit.

I will make sure your lovely feedback is shared with the staff involved.

I wish your husband a smooth and continued recovery.

Kind regards
Shirley‑Anne O’Hare
