"Staff have been fantastic and informative"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

This has not been my first time on the ward. But every time I have been there every single member of staff have been fantastic and informative! I could not fault anyone there! They frequently offered drinks, made sure I was okay, stayed on top of my pain relief! I could not say a bad thing about the ward.

Especially with it being a gynae related ward sometimes talking about my issues would cause me a bit of anxiety but nurses and doctors reassured me and helped me understand what might be happening why.

Thank you everyone!!

I also want to personally give some thanks and recognition that Rhiannon deserves. Rhiannon had met me on a couple of occasions and had always been so bubbly and smiley, which is what you need when you’re in hospital! She is very thorough when doing assessments into GAU, and would always ask if I’m in pain/need any pain relief, which was always sorted quickly, even if there was a delay she would let me know and keep me in the loop about everything! I must also say she’s amazing at bloods and cannulas, as someone who is difficult to bleed.

She always has time to talk, if you need someone to talk to and offers reassurance and guidance when needed.

Rhiannon, you are a credit to the NHS, thank you so much for all you do, you are going to go far in your career! Honestly thank you so much, my stays wouldn’t have been as good if it wasn’t for you! Keep being you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and detailed account of your experience. It means a great deal to hear that each time you have been cared for on the ward, you have consistently received fantastic, informative and compassionate support from every member of the team. Knowing that you felt listened to, reassured, kept comfortable and well-informed—especially while discussing sensitive gynae-related concerns—is incredibly important, and we are truly grateful for your kind words.

Your personal recognition of Rhiannon is especially touching. She will be absolutely delighted to know how much her kindness, positivity and professionalism have meant to you. The way you describe her—bubbly, smiley, thorough in her assessments, attentive to your pain relief, communicative during any delays, and exceptionally skilled at taking bloods and cannulas—reflects the very best of patient‑centred care.

It’s wonderful to hear how she has taken the time to talk with you, offer reassurance, and make sure you always knew what was happening and why. Feedback like yours will mean so much to her, and we will make sure she receives the recognition she truly deserves. She is indeed a credit to the NHS, and your words show the amazing impact she is already having in her career.

Thank you again for sharing such thoughtful feedback. It will be passed on to the entire team, who will really appreciate hearing how much their care and compassion have supported you throughout your stays.
