"Daughters sore tummy"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My 8 year old daughter developed an acutely sore abdomen. We took her to children’s A&E at the QEUH. The care she received throughout the day was, as my daughter says, phenomenal. She would especially like to thank Olivia (A&E) Acacia (A&E) and Chloe (surgical clinical fellow) alongside Morgan (Cdu) and James (surgeon). There was also a healthcare assistant from CDU whose name we didn’t catch who was lovely. Thankfully her pain resolved and she got home late at night. Thank you to all involved

Dear columbaqr77

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback about your daughter’s visit to A&E Department of the Royal Hospital for Children. We understand how worrying it can be when a child becomes unwell, and we are delighted to hear that the care she received throughout the day was such a positive experience.

It is wonderful to hear that your daughter felt so well cared for and described the treatment as “phenomenal.” We are especially pleased that you have taken the time to recognise Olivia and Acacia from A&E, Chloe (Surgical Clinical Fellow), Morgan from CDU, James (Surgeon), and the healthcare assistant from CDU who supported her during her stay. We will ensure your kind comments are shared with them and the wider team.

We are glad to hear that your daughter’s pain resolved and that she was able to return home later that evening. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for recognising the dedication and compassion shown by our staff.

Kind regards

Kevin
