"Excellent nursing care"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services

(as the patient),

I have monthly infusions in the Seamoor Unit at North Devon Hospital and the nursing care is always excellent despite how busy they are in the ward.

At my most recent visit,  I was particularly anxious. I am autistic and struggle with the hospital setting and changes to my routine. However, my assigned nurse, Jishna was very reassuring and her capable, caring manner made me feel much calmer.

Good Afternoon mooncat11,

It has been wonderful to read your feedback for the Seamoor Unit and thank you for the wonderful feedback in regards to your assigned nurse Jishna, I will ensure that both her and her Line Manager and made aware.

I am very proud of the team that supports all of our patients on the Seamoor Unit and as you rightly say it is a very busy area of the hospital.

I just want to sign post you to the amazing team in the Fern Centre - as another form of support for you if you are not already aware.

Please do have a look at their website - https://www.royaldevoncharity.org.uk/fern-centre/

You can also speak to Tara Jones the Fern Centre Manager on: 01271 311 855 or email address rduh.theferncentre@nhs.net

Many thanks and I wish you the very best,

Lisa Beasant
