My son has type 1 diabetes and had fallen due to his condition suffering a severe head injury, firstly, the Paramedic was at our house in what felt like minutes, he did all the vital checks and gave my son morphine to put him out of pain. Secondly, the lovely ambulance guy who sat in the back with him really helped to put a very worried mother's mind at ease...Thirdly, the blood taking lady (sorry I don't know the technical name) was so friendly and despite the very high demands on her time she still took time out to get my boy something to eat. Fourthly, the Doctor Louise, again really friendly, administered every check possible on him and explained every step to my son, myself and my boy's step Dad. Fiftly, the lovely guy in the OBS ward, we would have taken his name, was the friendliest most caring person you really do want and need to deliver the results of a head scan, thankfully it was good news, but this guy made everything feel better again! Priceless! Thank you Whiston hospital, the service was A1!
